What is the difference between Ertalyte and PET?

Polyester PET-P is usually used to create precision parts which have to sustain high loads and high wear due to its properties. Ertalyte TX is an internally lubricated bearing grade that offers an even lower coefficient of friction when compared to other grades.

Polyester PET-P is also known by the trade names Ertalyte (virgin grade) and Ertalyte TX (bearing grades).

Polyester PET-P or Ertalyte offers high mechanical strength, stiffness and hardness, very good creep resistance, low and constant coefficient of friction, excellent wear resistance, very good dimensional stability, excellent stain resistance, better resistance to acids than nylon or acetal, good electrical insulating properties, good resistance to high energy radiation (gamma and x-ray) and is physiologically inert.
